I thought about putting it in the title, but then realized I wanted it to convey the same sense of disappoiment I got from watching the trailer

Well it is KPE (Konami Parlor Entertainment who are part of the Konami group rather then Konami games...

They have also released a Castlevania pachislot machine. Also pachislot is generally more fun then the standard slots you get in America.

Here is the official website http://www.kpenet.jp/parodius.html

click the right most tab at the bottom and you can get some nice wallpaper :)

Anyway it's not like lots of other games have been pachislot machines... There are a number of SNK brands that are Pachislot machines as is Streetfighter, Tomb Raider even Mario...

I know those franchises have been turned into slot machines, but they've had plenty of new titles too; there hasn't been a new Parodius game in years, and they go straight to "slot machine". Thanks for the link btw, I was trying to find info, but Google gave me practically nothing.

I hate you, Konami! This reminds me the same shit did with Hokuto no Ken game for Wii: You would expect "Wow! A Wii game for Hokuto no Ken where you would punch and kick with Wii Remote and Nunchaku!"...but it was a panchiko game. A panchiko game for Hokuto no Ken on Wii! For the sake of the God! DS version is enough, why would you play it on Wii as well?

Good thing we now have a Dynasty Warrior game with Hokuto no Ken which attracted even the haters of this great anime/manga.

Wasn't Otomedius G supposed to be a spiritual successor to Parodius?

Well it did have Pachislot and Pachinko and Sammy in the title so you might have put 2 and 2 together to make 4. :p You'd be surprised on how well Pachislot and Pachinko games sell on consoles like the Wii and PS2.

Good old internet, people taking parts of a name and getting excited :p

I like myself some old-school proper Pachinko, not the screen-only versions.. It's not pachinko if it doesn't have awesome artwork and flashy lights;)

    Jamtex, check your pm mate!

They're doing this with Suikoden too. I wish they would just make Suikoden 6...
