Back in the UK I was a big Sonic the collector. I've decided to carry on my antics while I'm over here and I thought I'd share with you some of the weird items I've found so far.

First up is a compilation disc for PC. I'm not quite sure what to make of it. The cover is very well made, the disc is pressed and printed nicely and it appears to have been produced by a company called 'H N Soft'. However upon inspection of the contents, it's actually a copy of GENs with a custom front end and a very unusual selection of roms.

    They are:
    • Sonic 1
    • Sonic 2
    • Sonic 3
    • Sonic and Knuckles
    • Sonic 2 with Knuckles Lock on
    • Sonic 1 with a metal sonic character hack
    • Sonic 2 with a palette hack
    • Sonic 1 with a Mighty the armadillo (from Chaotix) hack
    • Sonic compilation
    • Sonic 3D
    • Sonic Crackers
    • Sonic Spinball.

That really is one crazy disc. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it wasn't licensed. It would be good if the author of GENS could sue their arse as well.

Wow a good price for how well it's constructed. Yeah its a CD with GENS and ROM's but still, it looks nice for a invisible friend present or something.

Picked up this Gem today, in all my years of Sonic collecting I've never come across this before. The manual is full of prototype screen shots too which is strange.

And of course a samsung megadrive II to play it on:

Yeah just a standard revision one copy of Sonic I'm afraid, however it's the first time I've played Sonic at 60hz on native hardware which is nice.

Some more Sonic games for the collection. The stand along cartridge of Sonic is an unusual one. It's the japanese revision 3 version with parallax backgrounds and the spike bug fixed however it does not have a level select cheat which is very strange.

Those carts are very makny looking. It seems that Koreans take as much care as their games as UK owners  I'll never forget UK used game shops with EVERYTHING scratched or in some way messed up.

Yeah they are pretty screwed up. It's why I'm having trouble finding items for many AG members. I know the stuff is out there, I just nobody would want to buy them in the condition I find them.
