I just got my hands on a Sega Lindberhg with Virtua Fighter 5. I understand I need a JVS board to wire this thing up, but certain kinds of io board induce lag. I'm also not to sure where I should be shopping for such a board. Anybody with experience want to suggest a good JVS IO Board that'll work with a lindberhg?

Also, I plan on using a standard PC ATX PSU to run the thing. What sort of wattage should I be looking for?

I got the JVS Type 3 board and works great on Lindbergh. Not sure about power supply as I got official Lindbergh power supply

Use the standard JVS/JAMMA Sega I/O board and it'll work fine. You'll still have input lag due to your monitor. Best to play it in 640 on a CRT for no lag. I used a 400w ATX PSU and it runs fine with my Lindbergh.

Thanks for the tip with the CRT. I went ahead and picked up an official Lindbergh PSU before reading your post, but I paid about as much as you'd pay for a 400w ATX PSU.

I also bought a control panel with a card reader... is that thing used for anything besides Virtua Tennis 3?

It's used for VF5 as well, but you need to be connected to All.net, so that's pointless...so yes basically VT3 lol.

It is the JVS Master (Lindbergh) that polls the IO board, and thus sets the update frequency. I'm not aware of any IO board that is not able to keep up a jvs master's polling rate, which is usually about 60hz.
