Hmm, I call NOT. Mitsubishi made a LED TV that is much much bigger. Unfortunatly I can't find the size on Google. I'm pretty sure it's used at Kyoto Horse Racing Course. They also make a 155 OLED screen. Not as big as the one in the link but much better image quality for sure.
8000x4000 (iMAX?) with 16xAA anyone? Pretty sure standing near that with anything less would look like pixel art. Edited for overkill, lol
You are talking about Turf Vision displays - they are indeed MUCH bigger, but they are also a different technology department and can hardly be compared to a TV. The Turf Vision displays in Kyoto and Tokyo have massively increased dot pitch, meaning the distances between the small LEDs it's made of are way bigger than those of a very condensed display with microscopic LEDs like a TV. We are talking up to 1cm of pixel pitch here (I cannot find info about the Turf Vision ones, but considerably smaller displays of that type have around 4-16mm) whereas your regular 1080P LED-TV has about 0.25mm. On CES 2011, Mitsubishi introduced a 155" LED TV and that was the record until now.
Stupid... Too bad he didn't have a Nvidia GTX surround setup. That way he could span the whole game across the big screen like 3 screens. Wait, that only came about sometime last year...
