Yeah didn't remember if before it have them but now they are annoying. I wonder if someone have the same problem and also if anyone can give some advice on what could be the cause. The video cable must not be as I use it with my neo geo cdz and there is no ghosting at all. Some pics to show what I mean.
BTW I'm using it on my LCD tv.

That's what you get trying to use composite upscaled to 1080p. No surprise at all. Bet an old 480i CRT would look fine.

Genesis composite is THAT spectacularly horrid. It wasn't until Saturn when Sega fixed their encoding.

The LaserActive has an awful picture anyway no mater what you are running through it. Sega, PC Engine, Laser Disc. They all look crap even on a CRT never mind on a HD TV.

Heck on that note my Saturn's composite depending on the game's visual style almost at times looks better than Genesis RGB. Darned genesis jailbars. It'd be an even larger difference if I could find a correct Euro SCART cable for the Japanese Saturn. Probably end up needing to have mine modded.

Don't the LaserActive PACs suffer from bad capacitors that might affect the video quality? I've been hearing about how they're starting to have capacitor issues like what the TurboExpress and TurboDuo suffer from.

I dunno, it'd be something I'll want to watch out for. Haven't owned a working laserdisc player. Briefly had one that was broken. Might just get another player for fun later. Stuff like Star Wars or anime would be OK with me.

Yes they do. I had one that had gone really bad.

Not to fully go off subject, but I notice with my mega cd there are some stages I'll play in sonic cd and there are certain areas or sprites that have this sorta shakey effect (I don't mean the usual ripple) is this normal?

My Genesis looks great on my PVM. Better than my Saturn, actually. The bars are there, but you have to look really closely to see them. Most of the time you don't notice them at all. I have the Genesis 1, and the Genesis 2 has the bars much worse. The Genesis 1 also has a much sharper picture than the Genesis 2. Stereo sound too, so it's a win-win.

The Saturn picture is good, but not as good as the Genesis. Go figure.
