LaserActive MegaDrive LD

Does anyone know whether the LD for LaserActive MegaDrive module can be played on normal standalone LD player?

as far as iver read it only works with a laser active due to the port it goes in as well as the laser active having a special bios for the sega cd portion of the modual. Of course if you are talking about the mega ld games, then no, they are specificly designed to be used with the laser active, though if you want you can give it a try and see if just footage plays.

 

The footage will play on a normal LD player. At least in the cases ive read of.

 

no it won't. I mean you can play it, but not interact with the game

I need the disc test out before I buy it...

given the low price I was bit suspicious...
