So i found a Laseractive with the Genesis pac, the pioneer genesis controller and 2 games for 700$. Ive seen them go for upwards of like 1000$ without anything else included. But those are ebay prices so i really have no idea. Wondering if it's a good price or not?

do not post in multiple forums the same question. It's a warning.

Sorry, didn't see that rule in the rules post.

It's common sense. You don't need to ask the same question multiple times.

Also, make sure you post in the correct forum. I've moved this to the price check forum, which is where pricing queries should be posted. The Laseractive isn't overly rare, although the pac does fetch a bit now.

No, it's not. I bought a Laseractive without the PAC for $150+shipping a few months back and this was after the seller repeatedly lowered his price. I bought a broken one with a Sega PAC for $250 a year or two ago from a thrift store (didn't know it couldn't display the LD video and sprites were corrupted). Unless those games are ridiculously rare don't spend more than $200-250.

Which games? If they're R1-R5 games then that price is way too steep.

What are the two games? That can make a big difference.

One thing to understand is, even though people are charging insane prices for Laseractive hardware and games right now, they were dirt cheap and easy to get just a couple of years ago. I got two CLD-A100 units on ebay shipped from the US at separate times, one with a Sega PAC, the other one with a Karaoke PAC, paid less than $100 for each of them IIRC. You used to see half a dozen or more on ebay at any one given time. There was a seller flogging brand new sealed in the box PAC-S1 modules (Japanese version) for around $40 each for years, and the common games were around the $20-$30 range I think, and cheaper for bundles. They may not be going for that cheap any more right now, but they're not super rare, or even that sought after by many people to be honest. Now, that's not to say you can expect to see them for those kind of prices now, but understand that if someone's selling a unit for $700, they probably paid a fraction of that price a couple of years back, and are now trying to turn a mega profit.
