    I just opened up my SEGA PAC-S1 and noticed what I assume is the bios ic sitting on some headers.

    So my question is does anyone have some knowledge of or experience with swapping out the bios for one that will allow it to play region free SEGA CD games?

    Looks like it should be easy to swap out.
    Perhaps Bad_Ad84 can help on this point?

    Yeah should be possible to make it region free, I am unsure if someone already made the region free bios up for this one would like to get my hands on a few systems like the jvc-xeye and other sega cd stuff to mod them for fun and keep them.
