Last Hope is being released on Friday, 22th of December 2006 I really searched for a thread but to my surprise, I didn't find any. Well, here it is. :katamari: ]Link to the Main-Page of the Dev-Team which is located in Germany: http://www.ngdevteam.com/ Last Hope is a Pulstar-like Shoot em up made by the NGev-Team. It's already been released for NGH since a couple of months (price: 550 Euro) but fortunately, there will also be a Neo Geo CD- and Dreamcast-Version While the NGCD-Version is still a long time away (Spring 07), the DC-Port will be released about 1 month! Downloads (Sound & Video-Download): http://www.ngdevteam.com/download.htm You can order it at Play-Asia or, of course, the developers themself: http://www.ngdevteam.com/buy.htm http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-17-71-4-74-18x-49-en.html I'm very happy to see yet another Dreamcast Shootemup coming up, though its not a typical one or should I say especially because of that? The Dreamcast-Version will own a few new features in comparison to the AES-Cart such as CD-Sound and a new, easier difficulty to select but the original AES-difficulty is also available on DC. Some information: http://www.ngdevteam.com/lasthope_faq.htm It won't be a licensed release, but will look quite similar to japanese Dreamcast-Games.
Pressed Retail-Disc as far as I know. It will include spine-card, manual and Case w/backcover as well. PS: I just noticed a mistake in the topics title - can anybody edit it to 12/22/2006 instead of 2007?
Fixed the 2007 problem I ordered my Last Hope from Play Asia a few weeks back. Looking forward to this one. Yakumo
well they all can't be winners can they? It was about time someone fucked up a translation after the tons of engrish we got (and we know we want more)
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I got the impression that GaijinPunch's post was sarcasm. That "unqualified wanker" wouldn't happen to be you, GP? -hl718
How did they (legally) manage to make it selfbooting? I thought the method used by warezed selfboot iso's contained some ripped (c) code/data for the selfboot portion or am i mistaking in that?
The answer is they didn't and they don't need to, at least in the United States. The code does contain Sega code but due to the Sega Vs Accolade decision they basically can use the IP.bin file to boot homebrew.
I've preordered mine and i'm really looking forward to it. There will also be a Webpage for the DC Version sometime in the future. I want mine now :_( !
There is already a webpape for the DC-Version now http://www.lasthope-dc.com/ Fortunately, the NGEV-TEAM is located in my town, so it would take me only about 20 minutes from school to get my copy signed =) But also, they answered my mail today and they do not get any copies of the DC-Version (AES-only -.-) so I will have to order the DC-Version somewhere and run to their flat someday soon
