Hi everyone, I am sorry to introduce myself so late, I already took par on several threads already. I am located in Canada, more precisely in Quebec city, so pardon my typing, grammar or sentence errors as English not being my native tongue. I always been a huge fan of retro even when I was younger, but due to amount of money that you have while you are young, you can't buy everything you want. So I am an avid collectors of retrogames, I always had a huge thing for Sega(genesis, Dreamcast) and Playstation (1 and 2). We didn't have any Nintendo console in my childhood and I don't feel any pleasure with Nintendo stuff. Due to being in University finishing a bachelor degree in statistics and having a really thigh budget, I can only threat myself once in a while. My latest purchase was Shenmue II for the dreamcast in almost New condition, I was pretty impress to find here in my town. I am more interest in the retro hardware than playing game, I having so much fun collecting broken stuff and repairing and I am gaining more interest in modding console. So far my countlog for repaired stuff is as follow: dreamcast vga mod, original xbox coma symptom, original xbox capacitors replacement, ps1 laser reassembly, Ps2 laser replacement. I am planning on fully modding an original xbox, perhaps building an high quality sound system with an audiophile PS1, modding a fat ps2 with a modchip, internal dvd controller support and internal memory card chip and led, replacing the capacitors in several game gears and modding a Gameboy advance with an AGS-101 retrolight screen. I also had failure like trying to put a regionfree bios in my dreamcast I wouldn't consider myself a beginner with electronics, I was always fascinated with electronics in my childhood until I seriously electrocuted myself and stopped this hobby, now it has resurface and it's going pretty strong. I hope that you had appreciated my introduction, it's always a pleasure to meet people having the same hobby as I do.
I was around 4 years and I put a screwdriver in an electric plug, that's how I got electrocuted. Hopefully, I don't have any scars from this incident.
