Just in case yall haven't seen this yet http://www.ebay.com/itm/XBOX-ONE-WH...1436228172?pt=Video_Games&hash=item3a8ac45e4c
I wonder why people are selling so quick? Will it be worth less in future when it's no longer supported? Is that why people are trying to cash in?
Probably also because the system sold out places, many people within Australia bought 5 console and trying to sell them for $800. Not too sure if the console will be collectable in the future, we've gotten a taste of digital consoles being out of support with XBOX downloadable content and delisted games.
My take on it is that as the years pass, console releases are getting less significant or noteworthy as compared to stuff from the 80s-90s, which will go down in history as what started the paradigm shift from a couple of nerds playing video games to the video game business overtaking film as the most profitable industry. (I can't believe I used the words 'paradigm shift', someone shoot me)
I think it depends on the way gaming goes. There will always be collectors, and since games are becoming more and more popular, and with the move towards download titles, I think it'll be rare hardware that becomes valuable. Whether it's worth the asking price or more however is another matter!
Rare useless hardware at that. All new generation devkits require internet access so those are dead weights too. I don't think collecting will boom for new generations to come, just the previous generations.
Probably people wanting to grab what they can for theirs while it's still hot, especially with the rumor of a regular white Xbone due to hit retail.
Every console will still have collectors, and even if they did drop a white console tomorrow, it still wouldnt be a launch team console. Are there any confirmed numbers on these consoles btw? Ive heard 3000 worldwide and 750 PAL Consoles.
Jesus Tap Dancin' Christ. Ugh, VGA strikes again. You should put a screenshot of this in the Ebay Hall of Shame.
Does it cost to post to VGA... Id like to invite them to place a value on a steaming pile of my own s**t.
Words cannot describe........ *sigh* Besides, his ungraded one is only $300 less. I thought VGA boosted the value up 100 times. So really the price should be $299,995.00.
The seller clearly has no idea of what he has, he would probably get more for that package if he just went ahead and removed that silly xbox console and sold the almighty VGA box on its own merits!
But 100 times £0 is still £0 I actually had a look into VGA back when they first started appearing (mainly because I couldn't understand why people were buying things for a LOT more than the value) and it is actually really expensive, especially for a plastic box and pointless sticker, from a self appointed company who claim to be able to grade the shininess of a box..
