The solid cyan at the top of the background gradient is a little eye-burning/glare causing. Could you perhaps make it a little off-colour so it's not causing as much glare? And you could also manually embed your blogspot blog into your site by a couple of ways instead of causing further outgoing links if you're trying to keep everything in the one spot. Those are really my only general complaints so far as you haven't really put much onto your site to give a great deal of feedback on mate.
The mix of pixel art and photo realism in your banner makes me want to tear my eyes out. Also your logo with the white square in the heart doesn't look right, maybe somehow make the heart and text blend together nicely it'd look better. Also the text spacing is off. The text "welcome" for example is far too close to the top of the text box in my opinion. This seems to be prevalent on your other pages where it says "About" "Social Media" etc. Text needs to be vertically centred in those boxes, otherwise it looks like it's been made in MS Publisher (my first website was made in Publisher lol...many many moons ago). If you're aiming to pull in viewers and make it a good source of reviews and gaming info, consider ditching the personalisation and make it more neutral. www.retrocollect.com is a good site to try and emulate. Make it seem like a business and then credit yourself at the end of articles instead. Lastly this sentence doesn't read correctly...too many "ands", stick a comma after retro and ditch the extra "and" and you're golden. The 'As" doesn't need a capital 'A' either. You'll need to spend more time on the logo, looks very amateurish :| I agree with Twimfy, I think pixel art consoles will blender better than stock images and a flipped NES controller. It would of been better to put the controller on the other side. Would of made more sense.
Cool I'll see what I can do as for some of the formatting with text, some of that is something to do with my host :/ . I use wysiwyg editor and it does not look the same when I publish... Retro collect looks like wordpress (which I should have gone with)... Mice changed a few things too a lot of artwork is pulled from my YouTube channel. I like my logo but, K.I.S.S
I've made more complex logos for my business but I've found it to be a huge pain when re-formatting it ie: modifying it to fit say a banner ect.. So I thought I would keep it simple as I'm more on content, than simply a fancy logo... I like the idea of a wordpress style site but that would make it dime a dozen, every 'tech' site uses the same templates, they are nice but everyone uses them.... also bad grammar, because I fails Engildish hope that makes sence.. (on my phone can't edit, so double post)
