Launching my own forums - suggestions

Hello folks, I've finally gotten around to launching my own forum, located at:

Hope to see you all there. I'm new to this stuff so any suggestions as to how to make a board cool feel free.

 

Nice! here's my suggestions:

1-Make me a moderator

2-Dont make paulo a moderator, cuz he's going to ban me ASAP

But no problem.

 

I don´t seek power, since it isn´t a cool thing (to me anyway). But it would be an honour, if you made me a moderator, since for me being a moderator. Would be to help people. So, if you made a moderator, I only wish, that if I am going to be a moderator, then you only can ban me. If I cross the line . So can I be a moderator ?

OK, I have registered. Slight problem in that Hotmail put the activation e-mail in my junk folder - you may wanna tell people to look out for that one!

As you're using phpBB, make sure you're on their update list, and always apply new patches to your phpBB. I'd say avoid betas, but there are sometimes security holes that need patching, so it is worthwhile. I've seen entire servers go down due to an unpatched phpBB on one account before!

Oh, and DON'T MAKE EVERY ACTIVE POSTER A MOD !

 

I'd personalise it a bit more. As in, get rid of the generic phpbb look and get someone to do a nice design.
