So I've been collecting LCD games lately and some especially from the early 80s are amazing in their simplicity and are so well done. Even some of the ones being made today are quite good. Of course there is the popstation nonsense that makes for great youtube videos of how bad they are, but I'm talking about the ones of real quality and fun.

How exactly are these programmed? I would imagine they are probably done by one person but I'm curious how the whole process takes place, from the minimal programming to getting it all on a little board that will tell which lights to come up.

What are some of your favorites? I love the tabletop mini arcades which is what I'm collecting.
