Anyone following the LCROSS mission by NASA? For people who don't know, LCROSS is a mission that involves the LCROSS impacting one of the moon's craters. As the LCROSS hits the moon's surface a huge plume of debris will appear. This debris will be analyzed for traces of water/hydrogen. 1 hour left before impact! http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LCROSS/main/index.html
I watched it, thought it was rather anticlimactic though but I wasn't sure what to expect. I try to catch the shuttle launches when they're on at times that match my sleep schedule.
I agree it was rather anticlimactic, but then again seeing a sattelite crashing into the moon live is not something you see everyday :110: They'll get results about the debris in the next few days, hopefully they'll find some traces of water!
