Hi all, I really enjoy modding, repairing and tinkering with consoles and electronics and can follow instructions and guides written by others but I'd like to learn enough to be able to go off the beaten track a bit and experiment with things, diagnose problems on my own. Can anyone recommend any decent books or resources for learning about electronics theory? Or any learning resources to help me properly understand why I am doing the things the guides instruct, rather than just slavishly following guides? I want to get good at this stuff!
Great suggestion. Also familiarise yourself with the service manuals and related IC datasheets. The more u become familiar with the schematics, the easier it is to diagnose problems and troubleshoot.
