do you have problems using a game controller? because i found a lefthanded psx controller on the web (buttons and digicross switched) but even being a lefthander myself this never came to my mind.
I'm left handed and I can use a regular controller easily. In fact, I think video games have made my right thumb dominant over my left one.
I'm left handed and I could never use that. Gamepads have always been how they are, I really never thought about one like that.
Hahaha maybe if I was introduced to gaming with this kind of controller it could work... but the normal controller configuration is hard wired into my brain now, hahaha. I have always found it strange... I am left handed for writing and using chop-sticks... Everything else I use my right hand (or foot).
another question: do you use your mouse with the left or right hand? i use it with the right, because otherwise whenever i used someone elses computer it would be a pain. also i can write something down while at the pc.
I use my right hand for the mouse, too. I tried it on the left once and it felt weird so I switched it back.
I'm left handed and never felt the need to use another controller as well, though I did play some FPS GC and XBOX games using southpaw configuration but just for a while.. then I got used to the regular configuration. As for the PC, I use the mouse with my right hand, but have no trouble at all using it with my left one.
the funny thing is, my dad (who is right handed) uses the mouse with the left so he can write and phone while at the pc.
I don't get the point of a left handed controller since you are using both hands anyway on a normal pad and its not like controllesr have been designed only for the right hand. Does it make a difference to the left handed people (i'm right) if the face buttons are on the left or right and has it been an issue with the face buttons being on the right side for so long. I myself couldn't use a controller like the one posted but only becuase i've become so used to having a d-pad on the left and face buttons on the right since about the snes genesis era which was about when got into console gaming.
I'm left handed, and I wouldn't use that. I've never had a problem with a controller, and I never took the option to play left-handed back in the days where it was an option (e.g. Lynx). The Master System joystick was odd, too!! As for mice, I can do either. I usually have it on the right, but I sometimes switch to my left, particularly where I'm doing something precise (e.g. Photoshopping). Gaming, I use the "standard" setup, using my left hand on the keyboard (WSAD) and right handed mousing. I don't agree that it's a pain when using someone else's PC - pick up the mouse and move it to the left side of the keyboard - what's so hard about that???
I'm left-handed too but that controller just looks awkward. I've always used a standard right-handed keyboard and mouse set up and regular game controllers. I think it would be impossible for me to switch.
yep, just like i thought. its nothing more than a curiosity. might be funny though as a party gag when my friends are drunk.
Haha, that's evil! I love it! ;-) Are the thumb sticks reversed, too? I guess they are. It would be impossible otherwise!!
I'm a lefty and I really like the wii since I can do either with either hand. I've never had problems with normal controllers, but I can't stand a mouse on the right side (at a library computer it will take me a second to figure out that I'm using the mouse to the computer to the left of me). But this just makes my brain hurt. I want to think it's a flipped picture but the words are the right way...
i can do most things with my right hand, writing included. but if it needs to look tidy i'm slower with my right. comes in handy when your hand cramps up while writing long exams, you can use the other and let the hand recover. actually when somebody throws something at me (which is considered a reflex to find out someones handedness) i catch it with my right. i also play basketball and bowling mostly with my right. at badminton and tabletennis i am equally good with both hands, so i don't have to play backhand i can just switch the racket to the other hand if i so choose. also i play the guitar righthanded. you see, i have a good mix of handusage in my everyday life what the heck, i am buying that controller just to see how long it takes me to adjust and as a party gag
