A brief question, Will i suffer legality issues for me as personal collector to actually own and then trade prototype stuffs? Proto console, proto games etc..? as a side note, currently I don't reside in US/Europe/Japan though.. Sorry.. Tried to amend the thread title but can not.. it's OWNING AND TRADING..
I believe the legal threshold is 2004? So anything before then is 100% OK. As for more recent stuff it's really a case-by-case thing. If the system, whatever it might be, was purchased from the company (Sony, M$, etc) then it is legal to buy/trade/own. However, if it was rented from a company, then it is illegal to own/buy/trade because it is bound by a contract, restricting the owner to sell the unit. Software is almost always illegal. I'm about 80% sure of this, so don't take my word.
