Me my brother, sister and my many cousins would always have dinner then head down for games of mario kart 64 (Battles) , Streets of Rage co-op, 1080 Snowboarding, and of course Mario Party. 11) game machine you missed and that you would have liked to have Dreamcast, b/c even though I did get one, by that time it was dead (like 2002), also piracy was so easy that I felt I just didn't play the right games. Nor did I go online. Also, Cd-i, while I wouldn't wanted to shell out $700 I would've liked to experience a few of the 'gems' that seem to be fading away into obsurity.

(gamewise or not) Mmmm, I should say playing Daytona USA or Sega Rally 2 arcade with 3 more friends. 11) game machine you missed and that you would have liked to have FF Gamecube i think.
1) 20 (almost 21), Arkansas, male 2) Ever since I was old enough to hold a controller, I was playing on my brothers NES. Games like Zelda, Zelda II, Super Mario bros., Super Mario bros. 2, Super Mario bros. 3 3) I guess that would be the NES with Super Mario bros. 3. I never could beat the last levels, though. Other than that, I guess the Super NES as well, for Super Mario World. 4) I guess the SNES, because it was half mine, since it was a Christmas present for me and my brother. My first official console that was all mine was the N64. 5) Well, this is gonna be tough. I really liked OoT and LTTP. Also, I really liked Lunar: SSSC. Its perfect for a beginners RPG, and its got great characters. I can't think of really any more games that made me feel like those few games did, although I have a lot of good ones and ones that I like. I love Super Mario 3, too. 6) (Sega CD) Seeing those animated scenes in the game and some of them looking literally like "Controllable Cartoons" was something that awed me. Super Mario 64 left me in awe as well, as it was the very first 3d game I ever played. Once past that, it was hard to "awe" me, other than showing me just prettier graphics and effects. The last game that awed me was Shadow of the Colossus, and that was simply because of the scale. When you first fight the first one, you're thinking "Wow, I'll never take that one down! Its so big! How am I supposed to get to the top!?" Too bad that game is rather short. 7) I don't know, I like Arc the Lad 1 and 2, but everywhere on the Internet, I could probably come up with 15 other people that liked it, too. Guess its a cult hit for me. 8) I loved whatever system had the most RPGs and largest variety in games at the time of each generation. I like the RPGs on the PS1, the RPGs for the GBA (there are a TON of em' for it, and the DS). For the last gen, its hard to say, since I've played tons on the Xbox and PS2 at the same time. I actually probably played Xbox games the most, since thats about all I did in most of 2005. I didn't touch the Gamecube much, but whenever I did, I usually finished whatever game I was playing for it quickly. 9) Either Dragon Force or Growlanser Generations. 10) Probably when Alex and Luna escape from the tower in the final scene of Lunar, or the very very end of Lunar 2, where Hiro and Lucia kiss. Oh, and killing Divayth Fyr in Morrowind and getting a whole set of Daedric gear. 11) Well, right now I want an Xbox 360.
1) Age, location, sex 30, Adelaide (Australia), Male 2) Your first experience with videogames My Dad owned a Kaypro computer which had a game called Ladders which I loved..... 3) the first game that nailed you on the gaming machine for hours Super Mario Bros. on the NES 4) the first game machine you owned in your life Nintendo Entertainment System 5) your favorite games ever (name a few!) Gran Turismo (the first one - still leaves a tingle...), Cobra Triangle on NES, Sega's Scud Racer, Final Fight, SingStar (the only game that has ever interested my wife). 6) the games that left you in awe when seeing them (1 per console generation) PlayStation - WipeOut and Gran Turismo (nothing has really shocked since then, they've only been refinements...) 7) the game you like that is the most underrated Can I put a games system in here? I think the GamePark GP32 was an amazing tool, exploited in a loving way by a group of people who all shared a passion. Near perfect MAME, MD, SNES, PC Engine on a portable machine, at the time it was unprecidented. One of the best bits of kit ever. 8) the machine you loved the most The original PlayStation 9) the most precious piece in your collection Dunno. Maybe my 10 Million Edition PlayStation, or my Coke PSP. 10) the most touching moment you experienced in videogaming. (gamewise or not) Finally beating Virtua Tennis, then running around the house yelling "C'mon..!!!" 11) game machine you missed and that you would have liked to have An MSX.
1) Age, location, sex 22 (about to be 23), Huntsville Alabama, Male. 2) Your first experience with videogames The first that I remember is playing Hide and Seek, Space Invaders, Incoming, and Donkey Kong on my babysitter's Atari when I was... 2 or 3. 3) the first game that nailed you on the gaming machine for hours Super Mario Bros. I guess. 4) the first game machine you owned in your life NES 5) your favorite games ever (name a few!) Panzer Dragoon Saga, Radiant Silvergun, NiGHTS, Guardian Heroes, Blast Wind, Hyper Duel, Border Down, Mars Matrix, Crows: The Battle Action for Sega Saturn, Penguin Land, Phantom Crash, Twinkle Star Sprites, Fatal Fury Mark of the Wolves, Final Fantasy VI, Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru, 6) the games that left you in awe when seeing them (1 per console generation) NES - Final Fantasy Master System - Power Strike SNES - Final Fantasy VI Genesis - Vector Man Sega CD - Lunar: Silver Star Story 32X - Virtua Fighter N64 - Turok 2 Saturn - Well, I was in awe the first time I saw Panzer Dragoon. But Radiant Silvergun also left me in awe. So... Dreamcast - Shenmue Xbox - Panzer Dragoon Orta Xbox 360 - Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion 7) the game you like that is the most underrated BLAST WIND!!!!!!!!!! And Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru. Actually, I could do this for hours with the Saturn library. 8) the machine you loved the most Sega Saturn for life. 9) the most precious piece in your collection Oh boy... this is a hard one. Right now its my Hitachi Navi GPS HiSaturn... though some of my Panzer Dragoon stuff is up there with it. Soon it will be something else... but that is a secret for now. :110: 10) the most touching moment you experienced in videogaming. (gamewise or not) Sonic Adventure Christmas Pack on Dreamcast. When they started playing the Acapella "Dreams Dreams" when I walked up to the Christmas tree... 11) game machine you missed and that you would have liked to have Hmm... Neo-Geo, though I did have one briefly. If that doesn't count then 3DO.
1) Age, location, sex 21; Ohio, USA; Male 2) Your first experience with videogames... My Dad's now deceased Atari 2600. I don't ever recall seeing him play with it, but I distinctly remember sitting in front of our console TV, when I was three or four years old, trying to figure out Missile Command. The only game we had that I recall understanding very well was Kaboom!...which is still pretty fun to play today. 3) The first game that nailed you on the gaming machine for hours... Super Mario Bros, I guess. I don't really remember playing it a ton, but I know I did...as I remember being very excited when Mario 3 came along. 4) The first game machine you owned in your life... Nintendo NES. As I mentioned earlier, my dad had a 2600, but by the time I was old enough to understand games better, my parents bought an NES for my brother, sister, and myself. 5) Your favorite games ever... Its so hard to pick favorites...but... The Mario Bros. Series Sonic the Hedgehog Series Gradius Series (Parodius, Life Force, etc) Any Sega Arcade Game, pretty much..(though I hate virtua fighter) Metal Slug Series Contra Series Castlevania Series... (really anything Konami) Most of Rare's earlier Games Most of the DS Library (<3 Elite Beat Agents) Most anything Nintendo First Party Anything Arcadey (Yay for Neo Geo) Atari Arcade Games (huzzah! for Lynx!) 6) The games that left you in awe when seeing them (1 per console generation) First Gen-2600 Pitfall 1/2 (I wasn't around when it came out, but I was still amazed when I first played them) NES-Super Mario Bros, maybe? I don't recall falling in love with any NES games graphically...they were never super pretty...but the gameplay brought me back. Genesis-Sonic the Hedgehog 2-Wow. Faster and bluer than Mario. In retrospect, I'm not a huge fan of Genesis, but it seemed ages ahead of my NES. N64-Super Mario 64-Mario...but in 3D...The whole game was just a treat for the senses...and ages ahead beyond anything I had seen before. 7) The game you like that is the most underrated... I don't really pay attention to ratings. I just buy what I think I'll like. I usually do...so...I don't think theres anything that I find myself having to defend constantly... Though for some reason all of my friends hate Bomberman in all its forms...making my Saturn Bomberman useless...Sigh... 8) The machine you loved the most... Either my Saturn or my homemade Supergun. The Saturn because it was the first system I bought for myself with my own money. It was right as the last games were coming out...and nobody wanted it. A local game store sold it to me for 20 bucks. I got a great deal...and developed a love for it...and played a ton of great games on it. Yay for Model 2 ports! The Supergun...as I built it and it actually works. Video games can be a passive hobby...but with that I really accomplished something...and I'm quite proud of it. 9) The most precious piece in your collection... Nothing really stands out in my mind. I love em all. Once again, the Supergun is very important to me...but I'd really be upset if anythign got destroyed... 10) The most touching moment you experienced in videogaming. (gamewise or not)... I don't think I've ever been touched by video games in that way... 11) Game machine you missed and that you would have liked to have... Really, at this point, I own almost everything out there that I want...obscure stuff included. I really would like a CD drive for my PC Engine though. They just keep on slipping through my fingers...so expensive... OOOOOH...and Virtual Boy. I remember when they were 20 bucks brand new at K.B. Toys. The system was dead and stores wanted them out. My parents wouldn't let me buy one. I still don't have one. Grumble.
1) Age, location, sex 26, New Jersey USA (although I am British), Male 2) Your first experience with videogames Oldest memory would be Wonderboy In Monsterland coin-op, 1987 (Sega). I vividly remember being blown away by the game at the time. Also around the same time was the Super Mario Bros. NES demo unit upstairs in Beaties toy shop. It would take about an hour of waiting to have a 5 minute try 3) the first game that nailed you on the gaming machine for hours A game called Boffin, on the Acorn electron. It was pretty tough and those old micro games were coded for pixel perfect jumps. Mario Bros. 3 was the game I spent most time playing. 4) the first game machine you owned in your life The first machine was a hand-me-down Acorn Electron micro computer that was ancient when we got it. The first console was a Nintendo NES (Super Mario Bros. 3 pack), just as the SNES was seeing a release and NES systems were dirt cheap. My family never had much money, but I loved it. The first machine I bought with my own money was a Megadrive clone called The Scorpion 16, which was being sold in a chain called Virtual Reality after seeing a feature about it on Bad Influence, an early 90's ITV show about videogames. I bought it with my brother together with Sonic 2 (chose it over a normal Megadrive, too!). After that I got a SNES and then a PlayStation using my paper-round money and catalogues! 5) your favorite games ever (name a few!) Super Mario Bros 3, Sonic The Hedgehog, Super Metroid, Ridge Racer, Final Fantasy 7, STREET FIGHTER 2 TURBO 6) the games that left you in awe when seeing them (1 per console generation) NES: Super Mario Bros. Gameboy: Super Mario Land (funny how crap it looks now) Megadrive: Sonic The Hedgehog (so fast) Atari Jaguar: Doom PlayStation: Ridge Racer (I had trouble picking that or Wipeout, as both were such a step beyond 16bit) N64: Mario 64 Dreamcast: Jet Set Radio or Soul Calibur on VGA PS2: Gran Turismo 4 7) the game you like that is the most underrated F-Zero on the SNES, Vandal Hearts on the PlayStation or Jet Set Radio on the Dreamcast. 8) the machine you loved the most Hard to pick but probably the PlayStation. I got it at launch for 350 quid (GBP) with Ridge Racer as some kind of special deal and it was so worth it. I'd spent all summer playing it in the arcades along with Daytona USA and Tekken and those games were so advanced to me - to be playing them almost arcade perfect in the home (for the first time) was so amazing to me. 9) the most precious piece in your collection I own a Virtual Boy and it is my pride and joy, over all over things in my "collection" 10) the most touching moment you experienced in videogaming. (gamewise or not) I don't think there has been anything in a game that has moved me like that. I do remember the deep joy I felt when finally getting a NES though. It was a long time coming and I played Super Mario Bros. 3 for 4 months (it was the only game I had) every day. Also beating the black Devil car in the original Ridge Racer. That was rock hard and I felt like the god of gaming for a short while afterwards. 11) game machine you missed and that you would have liked to have A Neogeo would have been wonderful. Also I wish I'd been able to get into the 16bit generation sooner. After I started making money I bought every console released in the UK and still own all of them.
