Let's play some online games

Well, Phantasy Star and I, are planning to play some games online. In particular, a HL1 mod called The Specialists which is pretty cool.]

We haven't scheduled a day and time yet, but we thought it would be interesting to ask your opinions about it, and if you want to play with us. Other games might be suggested too.

The only thing you need to play it, is a Steam account with HL1 registered.

Nobody plays Descent 3? A very oddball choice on my part, but I simply love that fucking game online.

 

I would if I had a copy - I love Descent 1 and 2 to death.

Anyone play any of the Doom source ports, or the original Unreal Tournament online?

Doomsday is pretty cool, and really improves Doom experience. Anyone played it online ?

 

Can't say that I have. All I own is Doom II, but is Doomsday a free download? The Doom games would be really fun to play online.

 

Yep it's free, but you need the .wad file to play the games.

Doomsday can play:

Doom
Doom 2
Heretic
Hexen
Doom 64 (also needs Doom 2 .wad)

all modifications and user made levels also work, you only need to add them on the load menu.

 

Okay, count me in for Doomsday. How many others are interested in Doom?

Anyone play BF1942 here? Due to my crappy PC it's the newest game I can play online ^_^
I also play smelly old Counter Strike (not Source) for the same reasons. My friend recently introduced me to CustomTF, but I suck ass at it.

@GSL: I might be up for some UT if I get my ass in gear and install it again! But I tend to play UK or German servers, being not in the US...

 

Unreal Tournament would be great, as I own it. Zilog, 3 more post to 1000!!

 

Let me know when you guys play Counter Strike Source or Battlefield 1942.

Oh, I've already got both Doom Legacy and jDoomsday - I was just asking if anyone else played them. Thanks for the links, though! :-D
And yeah, if anyone plays Ultimate Doom or Doom II through either of the above programs, I'd love to try and get a deathmatch going at some point.

Quake III is also an excellent option.

 

You that mention CS, should try The Specialists. The games is just too much fun.
