Let's say there was a game you could 'fix' some issues with. What would it be...

By this I mean, the game had potential, but b/c of various issues

    e.g controls, camera, difficulty

If 'tweaked' what games would be alot better.

    Mine would be
    Conker: Live & Reloaded

Ahh... no censorship !!! I want my great might poo song, curse words in full!@!!

that was just stupid as multiplayer had swearing.

    Earthbound Zero

The issue for the most part was fixed in earthbound. But, the amount of wild battles is just annoying.

Everytime you returned to an easier part of the game you'd be bombarded by enemies that died in one hit and gave ou no EXP. it just was a very painfully timewaster.

Otherwise its a great game with a good story.

    Sonic Adventure 1 & 2

All it needs to me is cutting out a good chunk of the treasure hunting levels
    , a better camera system.

    Link: The Faces of Evil

Okay, don't hate me, but I finally managed to play this game.

Now seeing screenshots or watching a friend play this game, makes the game look pretty good, it has some nicely coloured 2D worlds. Its not upto par with a zelda game, its interesting and the worlds are nicely drawn up, almost medevil like.

What needed to be fixed: The controls suck, their litterally unresponive and Had the game some better controls, it might have been playable. Plus, they needed to scrap the cutscenes.

I think if a hardcore zelda fan cleaned up the controls and fixed other 'issues' then released this as a DC homebrew game, it'd be fun.

Having a freeplay mode in Katamari Damacy would have been nice.

Then again, I heard there WAS one, but you needed to get perfect scores on everything...

KotoR II - Pretty much...uhhm...Everything I guess. That game is buggy as hell and has a horrible storyline with bad characters. So disappointing, especially from the viewpoint of a Star Wars RP'er (Yeah, I am a proper RPG'er :D)

Star Fox DS - Give me the ability to turn off touch-screen controls and use normal controls! The game might be good if it wasn't for the shitty controls

Dead or Alive (Any) - Maybe put in a proper control scheme and try and make the game even a half-decent fighter! Such disappointing games, every single one.

Resident Evil Outbreak - More scenarios, a "free play" Mode where you just have simple objectives (like, hold the fort style game mode or something).

Zelda : Twilight Princess - Simply too short. Otherwise, bloody awesome game. Still, as it didn't really break the Zelda formula, it left little for me to figure out and thus had it fully completed in about 3 days.

Oh, and of course I still think they should have just released it on the friggin Gamecube way back when, rather than delaying it for the Wii!

Dude, if everything is bad in KotoR II then the game sucks and there's nothing you can do about it right? lol so then how could it be alot better with a simply tweak?

As Star Fox DS, I agree, hopefully we'll be able to fix this when DS emulators are good enough.

    I'm adding one more

    Star Fox Adventures

I loved this game, I really loved this game.

Still the spaceship parts was such a teases. I liked the idea that you had to battle in your spaceship to get to the next part of the game, but the flight was so easy. If they made these parts a bit more extensive and challenging. It would be great.

Also, the games playable with krystal, should have been cut and instead made into a cut scene. It was cool to fly on that bird and play as Krystal , but there's nothing else like that in the game and at no other point do you get to do that. Since it's at the begining I obviously excepted her and more sutff like that to be playable again, which was sort of a let down.

I don't know about any of the other levels, but I got the "freeplay" mode on the last level on my first try. I think you have to get a certain score.

My two picks would be Daggerfall and Deus Ex: Invisible War. I wish the bugs/removed features would've been fixed in Daggerfall, and as far as Invisible War goes... well, there are a ton of things that need fixing in that game. Hell, I kind of wish they never would've made it.

I would've loved to have seen Arcanum run smoothly on any computer.

Fixing loading times on Suikoden V would be great, too.

Kingdom Hearts with better camera controls would've been nice.

Well, If you've played the game you'd notice that the game engine isn't even complete (PC version at least). Even with patches, you need to get a 3rd party mod to fix a ton of issues.

The tweaks brought about by the KotoR II restoration project so far have been very small, but greatly improve the game by making it not crash out like it was some bad Homebrew game.

How big do you have to get the ball?

    Thats the moon level right?

I *BARELY* got the minimum size on that level the first time I played it, and I was showing my brother the game in all its acid-trippingly goodness, and got like a 600 meter ball, which is like double what is required.

KOTOR II is the most blatant example of a rush job I've ever seen. You can actually tell the point where Lucasarts told Obsidian to just stop working and release it before Christmas. Buggy as hell and a textbook example of a placeholder ending. A shame too since it could have been really good if Obsidian would have had some balls and stood up to Lucasarts.

Right now though my #1 is Oblivion. My inventory is all messed up. Items that I put in disappear and reappear randomly. Potions like feather (which let's you carry more stuff) have the opposite effect and weight me down. So far I haven’t been able to fix the problem. Needless to say the Idea of having to erase my game when I have well over a hundred hours is not making me happy.

Feather is supposed to do the same thing in Morrowind right?

On the Xbox version, I made an enchanted constant effect Feather ring, and it doesn't seem to affect how much I can carry. It still says I'm "over-encumbered" even with something like 501 / 500 on my friggin inventory! Wasted a perfectly good Grand Soul Gem WITH a Divine Saint's soul inside.

Super Mario 64 - change the N64 thumb stick so it has some friction that increases as you push the stick, it is far to loose and sensitive. That, or decrease sensitivity within the game.

    Counterstrike: Destroy AWPs forever!

There are too many to think through really. No game is perfect, I guess.

Perfect Dark Zero - The potential to be a very special game is in there...it just needs a little more TLC to iron out the many problems.

Mortal Kombat II Sega 32X. Fix the obvious issues related to it being a rip of the Genesis/MegaDrive version such as disappearing fatality gore sprites. Improve the music. That would make it near perfect in my opinion but while we're at it, make Jade, Noob, and Smoke all playable with unique moves and fatalities. ;)

JSR/JSRF: Make it possible to carry over graffiti's from a cleared game into a fresh one.

Loads of arcade and old game ports on the PS2: I would use the hardware's low resolutions, or like w/ the recent Sega Ages games, give the user an option to mangle/unmangle the screen.

    Okami: Make it harder.

One more is Metal Gear Solid 2. They should have let you play Snake's side of the Big Shell mission after you Played Raiden's.

I think Substance did that. I haven't played it, however, but I thought that was what MGS2: Substance was about among other mini games and stuff.

    Can anyone confirm this?
