Steam summer sale was on, and I usually don't even attempt looking at the store, but I was so bored I went ahead. Saw Life is Strange, with the amount of good reviews about it, and how in-depth the story is, along with the price I dived into the first episode. This game, this fucking game really messed with my emotions. A lot of choices make you feel guilty, and confused which one would be better. There's situations where none are better, and those choices are generally what kind of responses you should reply with. Makes me really think at how bad my decision making really is, judging by this game, I'm horrible. Cool, so I ended up buying the season pass after being so shocked at third episode ending. I didn't see myself even enjoying the game at all, not one bit. There's no real action, sense of speed or eye candy. The story alone is so damn strong I get truly involved. I've never had a game make me cry, really happy, or quite shy with how to respond. This all probably sounds rather strange to many of you, thinking I'm a pussywillow, but honestly try the game, even if you're not much of a point and click type gamer. It's pretty serious stuff. If you've already played through it, try not to spoil it for everyone else, but also share your experience with it. Did it screw with your emotions too?
It's so good. I actually made a LiS thread whenever the site came back online haha. Even though you can rewind, you still won't know exactly what you should do. So many shades of grey. For as much hate as Square Enix gets, they were the one publisher who didn't want to mess with the game. Other publishers wanted to change the gender of Max, add QTEs, etc. Despite the low budget, dontnod has been able to create a really great experience that completely pulls you in. My jaw dropped at the last part of episode 3. The game just keeps pulling out more stuff to keep you on your toes and not get comfortable.
We only have about 2 and a half weeks to wait. In the meantime, fans should join the subreddit! https://www.reddit.com/r/lifeisstrange/ There's a lot of Pricefield shipping and spoilers, but they're all marked clearly. Lots of cool art and interesting theories as well.
I find reddit hard to read actually, but considering there's spoilers I'm going to stay safe for now.
Official release date announced: July 28th Here's the official trailer, which I'm told is spoiler-free. Also LiS has sold 1 million units. Pretty exciting. http://www.siliconera.com/2015/07/2...8-dontnods-game-reaches-1-million-units-sold/
I will not watch the trailer anyway, I want to be completely shocked throughout. Trailers show to much sadly, same with movies.
