Light gun on LCD TV

Wow, someone resurrected this thread.

Unfortunately, I dont' that gonna work, because it relies on the entire TV hardware to work, either you have a CRT or buy an motion based pistol, but the latter is expensive and more rare, but the former is too big.

 

You need to read up on how light guns work. There is no "laser". Duck hunt for example, you can point a flash light down the barrel of the gun and never miss. A photoelectric diode is checking to see if it sees "light". This is why the entire screen is blacked out (except the target)

 

Apparently most theories are all wrong, the guy behind the 4Play Controller adapter has an invention that apparently makes lightguns work with non CRT tech

Except his last post says it doesn't work with non crt devices.

It's basically to let you use the light gun with emulators.

I only watched his 5 second progress videos after I'd posted...

He also said you might be able to hack the games to accept the timing, so I could work for owners of Everdrives
