LOL. Talk about one under advertised game. I didnt even hear about it until I was reading messages on 420chan out of PURE BOREDOM.

I remember reading about Blood Bowl in passing on the Games Workshop site, but I never thought anyone would actually make a GAME out of it.

I'm not a huge sports fan, but I think I'm going to give this a shot. Note: I'm not doing this because its from Warhammer, but mainly because I LOVED Mutant Hockey and Mutant Football for the Genesis...it being Warhammer helps a bit though. lol

I think I'm going to play Lizardmen. I think with models like that they could make a decent action RPG, though. I think in this game you have the ability to KILL the guy with the ball rather than tackle him though.:110:

That's not football, that's American Football. Football is what the rest of the civilised world call the sport you call Soccer.

Not to be a dick but "football" means a game that involves feet and a ball, implying that players don't use hands.

In American Football you rarely use your feet and it's not even a ball!!!!

I figured someone would say that. Its a UK parody of American Football. I don't know what else to put on the title, other than "Monsters run after guys carrying a pigskin American styled football."

Sir, you got it all wrong. Blow Bowl: Is not a parody of Americanised Rugby, it is a fantasy inspired version of the game. And second of all in the old days, then Rugby was one killer of a sport if I am not mistaken .

Blood Bowl, at least according to the site, was a parody of American Football, I believe...I mean it sure looks a lot like Football....sorry, AMERICAN Football.

It just has monsters and stuff in it, too.

I also had the original Bloodbowl for the PC. I sold it on ebay for around $100 USD, looks like it is still selling for around that range.

Well, we have had such a discussion before. And to be exact American Football is basically a variation of Rugby, and Baseball is basically a variant of Rounders, and not Bränboll as I mentioned back then. But anyway let us hope the game is fun.

Can't usually stand American Football but i did quite like Tecmo Bowl on the DS and this really does look interesting and i'd definatly get it for my DS if it is as fun as it looks.

I have done a review of this for an online magazine. Gave it a score of 8.2

It's pretty good, very faithful to the original product, also adding new features like real-time playing (not as good as turn-based, though) and team management. Fans of the board game are going to love it.
