Limited edition blue controller.

Managed to score this and another off brand controller for $10 on ebay the other day. Just thought I'd share. Now I just need the Canadian version to match it. I have the blue Asian one but the jewel is black, not silver.

 

Wow nice find! I've been looking for one of those for some time due to my silver jewel one being in rough shape

 

Canadian blue controller is same than kasumi blue controller
But there are 2 version blue in Canada

 

I was wondering when someone would find that auction. I was watching it since the first day it was listed. Haha I have two already so I didn't want to take a third.

And yes, the Canadian and Kasumi blue are both the same. Unless the part numbers are different.

 

Mine is this blue one...the Asian Halo 2 Edition. Did I get the right controller to match it?

 

I could have sworn the Asian halo 2 edition came with just a black jewel controller (regular translucent blue). I have the Canadian halo 2 and the jewel is silver that matches your newly acquired controller. I also have 2 different Asian halo 2 consoles. Both blue consoles have black jewels and both came with black jewel controllers.

All these different special editions for different regions can get confusing.

 

Your Asian blue console came with a blue controller with a black jewel. So, no. You got the wrong controller but the blue with white jewel is harder to find anyway so you did good.

 

Cool, if it's just the regular clear blue with black jewel that has a green Xbox thru it then I already have it. Glad I was able to find this one because most of the unit's IC for sale are missing the controller I just got

 

Yea you definitely did great! I've been searching japamart and eBay for awhile now. Don't know how that auction got past me lmao!

 

Besides being bundled with consoles, the black jewel variant was also sold separately. I assumed the silver jewel blue controllers (Halo 2) would be a dime a dozen on craigslist in Canada.

I wonder if the retail packs had a different part number then what shipped with the Asian blue consoles.

I am probably just splitting hairs, but the Canadian Halo 2 bundle came with a blue controller with a black jewel, not silver. Yes, the blue Canadian Halo 2 console had a silver jewel, but the blue controller came with a black jewel. The only Candian bundle that included the blue controller with the silver jewel was the Bell Canada bundle.

So only the Dead or Alive and Bell Canada had the silver jewel?

Silver jewel controller: X02330-001
Blue controller regular jewel: X09-64241-01

 

The bundle you have is the Bell Canada bundle. The Halo 2 blue bundle comes in an original Halo green system box with the Halo 2 graphic on a thick piece of paper glued to the front (and back, I think) of the box. The Bell Canada bundle just has the small sticker that says "Translucent Blue" on a standard XBOX system box. I refer to it as the Bell Canada bundle because you had to sign up for internet service with Bell Canada to get one. It's possible they could be purchased in stores as well, but I haven't found anyone who bought one in a store.

Both of the Canadian blue bundles are uncommon relative to other xbox bundles. In my experience, your Bell Canada bundle is harder to find. Most of the loose blue consoles that come up for sale have the black jewel controller. It's surpisingly difficult to find those silver jeweled controllers.

 

This clears up a lot. It's funny because if you look at the box for the "Asian" Halo 2 bundle, it has a picture of the console with a silver jewel on top and the controller has a black jewel lol. I had wanted the Canadian Halo 2 bundle for the longest time but couldn't stand the fact that the front and back was essentially a glued on thick piece of paper.

So if the controller is hard to find, can easily find it in Japan.

 

Ok, so now I'm confused. Did the controller I acquired come from the blue/black jewel I pictured? Did it come from the Kasumi chan console? Or did it come from the Canadian blue/silver jewel bundle? Lol. Sorry for not following.
