Limited Edition Console List...

I thought I'd add a list to my site, just thought I'd start a topic here for information. Seems like we haven't had a good list for a little while anyway....​

The Pink, Blue, and Silver Dreamcast models have the 200 piece claim but I've never really believed that...

I remember the Hello Kitty DC's being produced in quantities of 3000 for each color.

At least thats what I've always been told. Though given how rare it is to find one on sale I would assume there's even less.

 

The PlayStation2 also had the "Spring Colors Collection" in Japan which were limited to 25,000 I think:

Aqua SCPH-39000AQ
Satin Silver SCPH-39000S

The Ocean Blue and Zen Black models were limited to 10,000 units.

The Video CD Playstation (SCPH-5703) only had around 10,000 units released, and there are currently two PlayStation Portable signature models available in Japan in "limited quantities", but not sure how many that means.

your numbers waaay off for the final fantasy crystal chronicles gamecube. theres only 150 of them out there not 1000.

 

Not sure, It's very difficult find serious infos about the FFCC Gamecube, but It seems that there Is 500ex actually, 150 were available from Dengeki, and the 350 other were sold on shops but I don't know wich one...

Also, there's finally 1049ex of the Orta Xbox, from what I heard... I will try to fond good links.

 

Well, I've heard that the FFIII NDS are numbered (around 20000) but I'm not sure if it's a limited edition or not (perhaps they are just numbering them).

I heard about a Hulk Xbox edition some time ago that was given as a prize, but I've not seen any pictures of it. There was a post about the X360 PGR3 Edition (from the PGR3 contest) in the boards. Finally I remember some Dramcast special editions from the Sonic team (Sonic 10th anniversary & ChuChu-Rocket) but I don't know if they were limited, perhaps they were a fake :shrug:

No FFCC cube was sold in any shops, nintendo only made 150 for dengeki to give away.

Every version i have ever seen has had the hibaihin 非売品 (not for sale) mark on the box. If they were indeed sold in retail shops the boxes wouldnt have that mark.

The only time the pearl white cube has been for sale in the shops was for europe & it didnt come with the gb player.

 

That XBOX reminds me of Dr.Frank's monster:lol: Looks -weirdly enough- desirable though

 

That's exactly the question, If there were 350ex sold on shops, why does all the FFCC GC presents an hibaihin mark on the back? By the way, another version says that there's 180ex, but I can't find any official text wich confirm, so we have to stay at 150...

I think systems like the Tales of Symphonia were released but they didn't produce a limited number of them. I wanetd something with a max count that was obviously less than demand.

I've heard there were 5000 monitors produced for the Navi Saturn...

 

I've heard the following Navi figures....

That 2000 consoles were produced a month, 1000 screens produced a month, unknown amount of tv tuners produced a month (but very few). The Navi Saturn was only in production for 1 month..so that would make 2000 units, 1000 screens and unknown but very limited amount of tv tuners. Who knows? Truth is I doubt we'll ever really know as I don't think there was a specific number in mind in the first place, it was just a regular release. Certainly I've seen more units for sale than screens, probably 1 screen for every 2 units.

I heard the LT only had a run of 1000..but given the ease one can be found I'm assuming thats rubbish.

 

Was there ever any concrete data about the production of the Front Loading Neo Geo CD unit? I know it was the first edition, but was it the first 50,000?

I've only ever seen two Navis for sell... and I bought both of them. I'd like to find a boxed screen though...
