I'm trying to load Linux on my Xenon Dev Kit but having issues loading HvxBootOS. It justs loads and goes right back to the XDK Launcher without any messages. What am I doing wrong?
You must be on 25xxx recovery or lower. No one can give you a link so don't ask; you'll have to search for yourself.
25xxx? I dont think they had a recovery that high yet. I'm on 21250.2, also i even tried 9328 and that didn't even work.
What he means is flash 20353-20500ish. It should definitely work on XDK Ver. 9328 as that's Flash Build 20353. I would say your problem is having to high of a dash, as the exploits to run Xell and such stopped a long time ago, but if you're having the same problem on 20353, your problem is this: When you downloaded Xell, there are usually like 3-4 different versions correct? All the same build, they just differentiate as far as a letter in the name, try each one out. You're probably having Hvx boot one that's not meant for Devkits, which will cause the problem your having. Each letter version slightly differs for compatibility to each console. (RGH, JTAG, DEV, etc) Have Hvx test all 3. I believe it was Xell 2b that's specifically coded for Devkits. You'll know when it works because well, obviously it will load Xell. Hope this helps.
I tried xell-2f xell-1f and xell-ggggg, all do the same thing, go back to XDK Launcher even on 9328. I dont know of other varients of Xell either.
