ah, someone else who likes BeOS unfortantly it died ut like you said.. but I'm hoping that the openbeos project (or what ever it's called now days) will bring BeOS back to life
Yeah, it's just it does make a significant difference, especially if you're doing any amount of multitasking. I've actually got 2k running on my PPro 200 with 96MB RAM - it was fine when I first installed it, but after the birage of updates and installing junk, it slowed down... a lot...
Hmmm, well I do only use mine as a "spare" computer - e.g. when I'm doing something very intensive on one, I do web browsing and work etc. on the celery 400/128mb, for which it is fine. It also has sod all installed on it - not much more than 2k, firefox, itunes to listen to my music and office, as well as all relevant windows updates If I was using it more regularly, then yup, I probably would go up to 192 or 256, but as a "spare" it works fine.
