My thoughts is a comprehensive list including all platforms. I would agree that a comprehensive list of it would be great and stating whether there's been a dump or not. I suppose if I really had to I could make that happen, but I'd need to ensure accuracy on it and I sure as hell know there's still some that haven't even been discovered. Weird things happen. You can always hit the edit option on your post and see what the deal is.
There's a list of unreleased N64 games at: http://www.nesworld.com/article.php?system=n64&data=n64unreleased I don't know how accurate/comprehensive it is, though.
Here are some suggestions for the columns if you are making a comprehensive list: - Year that the game was announced - Was the game complete? This could also be on a key. For incomplete games in this column, the percentage of completion could be given if it is known. - Region of origin - Have people found it before? I am not sure if this would be important, but some unreleased games have probably been found before and were never dumped. It is better than knowing that the game has never made its way out of the company's hands before I guess.
These are the columns in my (unpublished) database of unreleased NES games. This was developed for an (also unpublished) online site that allowed you to add and remove tags to filter it the way you wanted - for example, you could say "all games that were officially announced that are not just localizations" or "all of the NES ports from other platforms that were ever mentioned, whether confirmed or just rumored." A lot of these fields were created in order to be able to separate the wheat from the chaff, as there are literally hundreds of rumored NES games on lists that probably were never real projects. This is also an ethnocentric approach, as it is focused on the U.S. market. A more global approach would add a "region," though this gets messy, as I don't think (for example) a rumored release of DuckTales in Scandinavia belongs on the same list as Bio Force Ape. Name Developer Publisher Licensed? Type (Original, Port, Localization, Unknown, Alternate [same game, different publisher]) Classification (Confirmed, Likely, Unlikely, Unknown, Rumor-Only) [a lot of this is subjective, but subjectivity is useful for maintaining a usable list] Source (Primary Source [mentioned by Nintendo or publisher officially], Press Coverage (Singular), Press Coverage (Multiple), Other/Unknown [comes up on lists online but can't find original source]) [primary source means classification is Confirmed, multiple press coverage means it's Likely to be real, etc.] Source Notes (if a primary source exists, I mention what it is here) Notes (general notes - this is very handy!)
