Wasn't sure where to post this and it's mainly out of interest that I decided I'd throw this over here and ask if anyone else knows of similar archive projects open to the public. [UT Videogame Archive] (US) [UM CVGA] (US) University of Michigan archive. [NMM GamesLounge] (UK) Pretty cool space they have setup here, you can preview the exhibit at the link above. Thanks Cyantist. It'd be cool to gather up a list and perhaps one day tour them all :love2: *shrugs* Thanks.
Really they are not a proper museum, and when they move on or die the university will probably sell off or bin the items.
So have there been past projects like these that have faded off and done so? They've been doing this since 2004 or so it seems. anyway....T_T *dreams crushed*
Theres one in Bradford's National Media Museum that isn't too bad. Nothing huge though just common systems and games and a few arcade machines. Seems pretty perminant as its been there a while.
Thanks. searched it and it looks pretty cool, if I ever manage a trip to the uk I hope its still there. *ill throw it up top*
