If I do change the TITLE_ID and APP version to 01.33, the game shows up as corrupted. Do you mind uploading your PARAM.SFO somewhere?

Thanks, it works. But anytime I try to use the pod controller, my game freezes. What should I do?

 

Dont go in the pod? Never actually played it so not sure what to say about it.
Also hook up a keyboard while you're at it.

 

If you downloaded the backup of the game I had up (which I've taken down for this reason), that could be causing the crashes. Make a backup of your copy of LBP2 (regular copy with 1.00 as the oldest version is recommended) via Multiman and replace the farc, sdat, map and eboot from your backup with the ones from the debug build.

 

That's the issue, I used your backup. I couldn't find my old LBP2 disc so I downloaded the digital PSN version of the game, is there a download up somewhere of a regular version of LBP2? I can only find extras edition.

 

I tried running the debug build on an Extras Edition backup, and the game freezes when it asks me to update.

Update: I edited the PARAM.SFO file to say im on version 01.33 and now I get the error (8001002B).

I don't think it will work with this copy, as the minimum version on it is 1.22. If anyone can get me an original copy of the game, that would be great.

 

The param.sfo is set to be a disc game. It wont work with a PSN version of LBP2
I mean you can modify that too and resign the eboot but it's just easier to find a disc copy

 

I got it working now, after an hour of searching I found an original disc backup of LBP2. I used your PARAM.sfo with it and it worked, thank you.

 

its odd how this debug build works with the final games assets

 

it's pretty cool though, however it's really powerful too. you can copy MM pick levels and edit them too, but I can't seem to load any of these levels (which is expected with my game version).

 

yeah i was able to copy 2 story levels and publish them on my secondary account "GordoEatsEarth"

Is it possible to join people?

 

Only if the person you're trying to join is also on the debug build as well. If you mess around with the debug settings, be sure that the other person enables certain ones (such as Toggle Create or Play Mode) the same time as you, otherwise you will disconnect.

 

Is it possible to run this on the RPCS3 emulator?

 

Someone know how to fix error 8001002B? I get it everytime i try to load it.

 

please, i managed to load with just eboot but some features dont work, or are bugged
