Small Update! Been really busy lately with work. However, I'll upload some pictures soon of some awesome soft drink variations that are JP,HK and CHN only. I may also document some McDonalds related stuff as well, as we have some crazy choices here, heh.

Here's a little teaser (Yep, that's alcohol-free Hello Kitty booze):

And a bonus school classroom photo:

I'm going to China in 3 months time (got a 4 month gap between my tenancy in London ending and uni in September and figured it would be cheaper to spend the summer in China). As I'm going to have a LOT of free time to explore, I'll no doubt be looking out for gaming stuff (although my brief experience of mainland gaming stores are just small places clustered together each selling exactly the same new products). Any recommendations for Chengdu? I'll be spending about two weeks there at the beginning of my travels.

I thought that Taobao was the Chinese equivalent of eBay rather than Amazon? I have to admit knowing very little about China though, the only Asian country and language that I have any real experience in is Japan and Japanese. I have been to HK but saw very little games-related stuff whilst I was there.

Great pictures BTW, please keep them coming. :)

Loving the artwork and titles, especially for the final fantasy games. What was actually contained on the carts for those? They look so cheap and tacky and yet i'd buy them out of curiosity. Normally i test them while i am there to avoid getting something totally different from the artwork.

You kind of need to know where to go in HK, there are buildings which deal with those kinds of stuff but you need some local to show u.

Haha, yeah, the artwork is totally bootlegged with a level of oddity and weirdness added onto it. That's what originally attracted me to these games.

Sorry about my absence. I haven't had stable internet, or time to appear back here. Woops!

I'll be uploading some non-game related "Weird China" pics soon!
