That is so awesome. I've always wanted to live in NY maybe now I can one day afford it. I would live in a place like this, I'm currently residing in a box room in my parents house, this would give me a little more space.
I'd probably be a lot less stressed living in a tiny postage stamp like that, because I wouldn't have so much crap to manage and organize, but I'd still rather not.
Man If they had those places everywhere, It'd be great. I would have no problem with living in that size apartment, especially at a good price.
The lack of a proper kitchen would be a killer for me. A couple of my rooms at uni were tiny little boxes, but at least there was a kitchen.
I already lived in such a tiny room, you always have to rearrange everything for some activities and tidy everything up if you are done with it, you can't just leave something you are working on (soldering, game setup, painting etc.) lying around to pick up later without the room looking messed up. Other than that, you are done vacuuming the place literally in 3 minutes For the right price, I'd take the apartment, but not for the 700 EUROS they are charging.
I'm stressed enough basically having every possession I own (as well as a workstation for my computer and soldering gear) in ~36 square meters I'd slit my wrists in only 8! Unless there was a massive walk in closet.
Damn, I would not stand a week living there, let alone 3 years like that woman! The lack of kitchent, the small bathroom and the BED, are killers for me. I can see myself hitting my head everytime I wake up lol.
I wouldn't mind living in New York, but it's so ridiculously expensive. Unless I had a very high-paying job, sales taxes alone (especially in Manhattan) would be the death of me. Still, there's the convenience of mass transit. I'm located about 55 miles away from Philadelphia right now, and there's no way to get anywhere without a car unless you call a cab service or find one of the handful of bus stops spread out over the area.
That's an interesting place to live. Can't be that bad. But it can't be very healthy in the long run. Think about waking up late! I'm used to walk around with all the lights turned off at night. Run around, too. It's a matter of getting used to it, I believe. And what if the neighbors don't like loud music...
I could understand living in 8 square meters if you're a certain type, but living in Manhattan is just plain insanity.
700 would get you something ridiculous here. But there isn't much else, unless you magically find something in your field, when it comes to occupations.
I would have to sell a lot of stuff... It would be fun to have a cheap place like that in New York though.
