LoK Soul Reaver Beta (5-12-99) ??

Anybody have a working link to Soul Reaver PSX beta dated 5-12-99 ??
(The really glitched one with more options available in the debug menu).

Oooh... i'd love to get my hands on this too.

Did have it on cd at one point, but the disc was so damaged I think it was thrown out.

 

I thought I would find it easily on the net, but I have been searching for the last few hours without any joy :/

Saw one on underground-gamer years ago but I think it was the later beta with fewer debug options and a story closer to the final build.

There's also the Lighthouse demo, the very first version ever released for the PS1. I don't know if that's the one you were looking for, but the Lighthouse demo is great and very different to the released game.

Definitely made me more interest in LoK than I was before, that's for sure

I have the Lighthouse demo. It is indeed a lot different from the final game and the later betas.

 

Yeah, it's a fantastic website! Have you played any other LoK games? It's definitely one of my favorite video game series.
Soul Reaver of course being the best of the bunch

 

Only Soul Reaver and Defiance. Just started playing the Dreamcast version of SR. It plays so damn smooth lol, It's like a different game.
I am really biased though so the PS1 version will always be the best version to me


Defiance on the PC looks awesome even today I think.

I've got Blood Omen 1 on PS1, Soul Reaver on Dreamcast, SR2, BO2 and Defiance on PS2.

I also found that GOG were doing all the games excepy BO1 on PC, so I grabbed those. Think I have a boxed BO1 for the PC at my parents place.

 

Yeah totally, you should also try it with the Vibrator pack. It's where I first beat the game! Gameplay wise, SR1 is my most favorite. SR2 was shit in the gameplay department and I thought it was a bit too cheap of them to reuse a lot of areas. There is a lot of backtracking involved, due to the time travelling that takes place in that game. Defiance indeed looks great even to this day and I find its gameplay great as well. Story wise, it's probably the best one.
I feel like the one that has aged the worst is Blood Omen, I can't get into it anymore.

 

I have a few PS3 games to finish off, but will definitely be playing through the other games in the series within the next couple of weeks.
I'm actually looking forward to my LoK weekend

 

I need to get my living room cleaned up, then I'm going to settle down at my chipped PS2, with a few beers, and replay some of these.

 

Any chance of a link to the lighthouse demo please? the aforementioned links just take you to a description of it. Id love to check that out.
