For those of you who can not read it:

"I know you opened your car door into my car so if it doesnt come off, I am going to call the cops, I have a witness + your tag #. I work in [NAME OF STORE] at tools [PERSON NAME HERE] I would come see me before you leave if I were you"

I blotted out here name, although you can guess the store if you really think hard enough ;)

Anywho, the story on how I got this "nice" note: I went to the mall today to pick up some clothes for a job interview. I opened the car door up, and never hit her car. Came back about 45 minutes later and found those two notes on my windshield.

And now, the reason why this is bullshit:

    * First of all, there was no one around. No one in the other car, and no one in the parking lot near where I was.

    * I looked at the car before I left, and there was no mark on it, and there was no paint on mine. I don't remember if it was the same car or not when I came back, but it looked the same.

    * Third, what the hell are the cops going to do? I mean, I can just imagine her trying to point out the microscopic paint (If there was any) differences.

You know, I am sort of eager to see if she actually does try to do something...

I would've put the notes on someone elses car, hoping that they go pay the ass hole a visit instead of you!

It's an extortion scheme. You need to go back to the mall and see if that part of the parking lot is monitored and if so turn it around on her and go to the police.

The note is clearly meant to intimidate someone into handing over money in return for silence. Isn't that an illegal practice called blackmail?

I'd keep the note and if anything happens via Police you can hand over the evidence and let them sort it out. Otherwise - sleep nice and soundly as you are in the clear.

You also forget that no matter the damage to THEIR car (allegedly) the police would need to see the evidence of damaged caused by your car. Even if they went home and bashed the side panel in with a sledgehammer there would be no evidence to suggest your car was even remotely involved.

As back up, I am sure most car parks have some form of security camera installed.

So, just forget it. It's shit!

I'm tempted, but I am just going to let it go unless he/she starts something (Which would cost money). Personally, its a poor method of extortion, since the burden of proof does lie on her and threatening me can get her fired.

More than fired mate, it's illegal and could land her a custodial sentence. Chances are it's some sad lonely idiot just thinking "this will work" when clearly it won't.

I would have just gone straight to the cops there and then, call her bluff with them stood right there beside you.

Eh, if I was not so busy next week (Two job interviews and several other things to do), and had so much stuff to do today and tomorrow I would. I'll just keep the note as a little memento and laugh at it every now and then.

This scheme is like the Nigerian 419 scam in that it's a numbers game. They might go fishing 20 times hoping to get one bite. They were probably hoping to get some elderly person. Does your car look like the type an older person would drive?

I hate retarded hooligans. They do shit all the time where I work, like spilling oil on the floor in the auto aisle for a "distraction" while their accomplice steals a DVD player and tries to return it the next day.

    Fucking retards.

Some Black dude was doing shit like this, and he got called out on it and said "Man, dawg, I'm a grown ass man, why would I pour oil on the 'flo' hahahaha!" And his wife stole a DVD player, returned it the next day, got found out, the Police eventually got involved when the black guy said "IM ABOUT TO WHOOP EVERYONES ASS UP IN HERE" and are now banned forever from the store.

I'd like to know one thing. WHY DO PEOPLE ACT LIKE THIS?! I know what its like to be poor. Thats why I have a fucking job.

Judging from the handwriting, it's a dumbass (probably rich) white girl who thinks it's a quick easy way to get some spare cash. Tell her to give you a blowjob and you won't call the cops for her trying to scam you out of some money.

Pshhh, it looks like a female wrote that. Everyone knows there powerless!

    (kidding, but yeah, retarded)

Too bad you can't leave them a note.

"Hello fellow comrade. I know we haven't gathered enough candles for the demon summoning, but if we could just get the 4H camp to rent us out a tent and a few cats, we could gather on the full moon. MURDERCHURCH MURDERCHURCH MURDERCHURCH!"

That'd be a way more interesting note to find on your car.

Its a more recent car, a 1999 Saturn. Most cars I see old people drive here are 80s cars, worn down trucks, and such.

Oh, and the name was female.

Nah, Sega disappointed me with the Saturn. Got a Saturn because my friend was trying to sell it cheap to get a new car.

Well, not to be off topic or to offend, but I ve only come to really appreciate the gold that is saturn just these past few years. It's the home to some of the most unique games and has a certain cult feeling to it.

True, although it feels like Sega screwed up badly with the western version. Japanese one has plenty of games, while the US and PAL version pretty much only has NiGHTS and the Panzer Dragoon series. Not to mention the lack of Sonic or anything Sega related (Like Bloody Knuckle/Steets of Rage, etc).

I would have slammed my door into her car a few times, made sure i'd done some real damage, and then wrote 'OOPS' on her window ;-). I only paid £50 for my car though so i don't give a shit about damaging it :icon_bigg.
