Looking for 5 people for group purchese of replacement PC Engine CD middle gears!

I recall someone of the pcfx forums selling these in a metal version for about $12? Works great just sounds a little louder than the regular one.

 

So it did miss this topic,
did any of you bought any new middle gears?

I have a good gear someone could use as a cast.
i would like some made up or even a 3d printer copy made for a mold.

 

Would probably be handy for the measurements I'd need for manufacturing some. Is it a replacement or an original?

 

Original its white and all teeth are all intact i can mail it to you?
I would like a bunch of them made up if possible like a bulk buy of say 40pcs.

I am also in need of one as of yesterday.

 

To keep costs down, turnaround times would be in the several weeks region... so I wouldn't be able to do one immediately even if I had an original to measure. There will be a bit of a delay as funds are tight this close to Christmas for me, too... but I'm keen to get something made and will let everyone know when I have a firm idea of costings and availability date.

 

I have been searching for a while with no luck for a middle gear for my Turbografx CD. I'd definitely be interested in purchasing one or two gears whenever you have some produced.

 

I just found a Hong Kong based seller on eBay offering "new" replacement gears. They are a little expensive at $16 + $3 shipping but I suppose they can command whatever they want since there is little to no competition for them.

@ retro: Were you able to figure something out about making your own?

 

I bought one from that seller. It look like it was made with resin based 3D printer. The gear does spin freely and engage fully with the other two gears on the drive despite the the fact the gear appears to be very rough looking on the edges of the gear teeth. Injection molded plastic gear should not look like this.

 

I found another overseas seller @ $12 each. but minimum of 10. Its tempting

I'm getting there... just trying to get the cost down for a well-made item in reasonable quantity.
