Hi, I'm looking for a PS1 racing game which name I can't remember It had several car classes which resembled normal cars but also formula 1 cars. There was no shooting or anything like that. The only track I remember was in the dessert with a sphynx you drive by. I hope you guys can help me Regards, iCEQB EDIT: nvm guys, I got it, it's "Gran Tour Racing 98" if anyone cares
I'm glad you were able to find it out! Personally, I wouldn't be of much help as I'd have no clue of what it might have been by just your description, especially considering the plethora of games available for the PS1. Since you solved it by yourself, I might as well use the topic to share a game title that I forgot and it's been torturing me ever since. It's also a PLAYSTATION 1 game, which I played as a child around 12 years ago in my cousin's house. All I remember is that it TOOK PLACE IN A SORT OF UNDERWORLD, OR A CAVE BELOW EARTH. The MAIN PROTAGONIST IS A 'DEAD' MAN, WITH A DECAYED BODY. The first scene of the game regards the MC WITH A DEAD WOMAN, ALSO WITH A DECAYED BODY, AND THEY WERE BOTH BALD, if I recall properly. I BELIEVE THEY WERE IN THEIR HOUSE AND WERE A COUPLE. After that, the MC TAKES A BOAT AND WANDERS IN A RIVER. Since I got too scared to continue playing it, this is all I remember, albeit I ought to say the sheer disturbing atmosphere of this PS1 game left quite an impression on me. I tried googling it but the elements of my description led me nowhere, unfortunately,
You were absolutely spot on, that's exactly it! Now I know the next title I'm playing after Rayman 2. Thank you very much! It's amusing how absolutely horrific it seemed to me as a child, yet now that I'm desensitized by fictional violence it's a tad bit underwhelming. Nonetheless, those PS1 graphics are a horror show by themselves! I'd never pick up this title and imagine it's exactly what I was looking for, as it gave me the first impression of being a generic action game and I'd never associate it with the impressions I had as a child.
I enjoyed the Dreamcast version of Shadowman, even while it was a poor port with lots of loading screens.
I've never played Shadowman, yet, it has been on my list for a very long time. Gran Tour Racing 98 was great fun!
