Probably such a software doesn't exist but asking can't hurt... So basically should be a notetaking/brainstorming software... imagine it opening as a clean space in which you can write down text add pics etc (lots of such softwares do it) but it must support selection drag and dropping of datas from webpages or such (more or less like copy-pasting into Word). The various dragged- copypasted - dragged texts + pics should retain their state (format, alignment around image, etc) but be able to be modified and moved around in the note... lastly some way of printing or outputting to pdf would be the top. I searched all over but no luck... even tought it doesn't seem so complicated and would be a "must-have" software... could it really not exist yet?
Karsten, what you are just talking about sounds to me like Libre Office, since if I recall correctly. Then LO can also convert to PDF, or ODF for that matter. But if LO is not enough, then I think you can use another program to convert the shit into a PDF file.
what you're asking for sounds a lot like the Microsoft pad that they where making but pulled the plug on. I would love something to do such a thing as well. =(
I can't remember whether Microsoft OneNote does something like that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_OneNote There's also Groove, but that's more about collaboration rather than brainstorming.
InkSeine was the software they made for it, and you can get it here: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/inkseine/ Haven't tried it at all all, so dunno if it even works on a regular PC, but it seems to be a lot like what karsten's asking for.
I've always used MS word for this purpose. After all, ideas might be all over the place but paragraphs and structure give you a more clear indication of where you should be heading.
Hmm, might have to check out Onenote my self. Is it standard in office bundles or is it limited to certain versions of office (prof/...)?
OneNote is in every Office bundle...I just checked and apparently my 2007 Office version has a OneNote too, never paid any kind of attention to it.
