While browsing through the photos I've once made from Korean game magazines in a public libary, I found something I haven't noticed before: Apparently, a Japanese magazine has printed a big feature on the Korean console market in 1992. I'm not sure which magazine, though. The headline calls it "The Softbank," while in the text it's referred to as "The Super Famicom". Is anyone familiar with any of these mags? The news item that reports it says the Japanese editor (one Mr. Ohashi) stayed in Korea in early October 1992, this coming from the 1/1993 issue of Game Champ, so the article could really only have appeared in an issue numbered 11/1992 or 12/1992. Here's the only image I have of the article: Does any of you expats in Japan know a means to find/get this? I'd really only need a good scan of the article, but I'd gladly buy the whole magazine, provided it doesn't demand a preposterous investment.
Softbank was likely the publisher -- they've published heaps of books. Other than that, can't help. My forum has a few guys that are pretty fluent in obscurities. Might want to ask there. Sometimes Korean games pop up.
It seems that you are indeed looking for an issue of "The Super Famicom" (ザ・スーパーファミコン) published by Softbank. I'm afraid I can't be of more help. A quick google search in Japanese didn't bring up much useful info. Please do post here about how your search comes along though.
