    Probably best to look for one on eBay or your local pawnshop, RROD ones go for about $40-50 here, depending on condition ofc. An opened one would go for a lot less.

    I buy working xboxes with faulty drives for less than that. Most of which just need a clean or new belt.

    AUD here. Keep in mind the conversion rate :p
    Well sure, I'd find faulty ones for that price too, pretty much $40-50AUD covers all kinds of faults.

    UK here, I recently bought a falcon for £32 delivered, the drive just needed cleaning and had a totally working console with original xclamps.

    RGH modded it, been working like a champ since.

    RROD I wouldnt pay that much, even though I have a £1500 BGA rework station - it is far too much work for the little return (and especially when you can get one with a drive issue for the same price, its a no brainer).
