A while ago a thread was posted about a USB converter for PC Engine pads, neo Geo ect I can't find that thread, does anybody have the link I want to grab a pair and some neo sticks.
yeah but I figured if I'm going to be running every game for it I should have the proper hardware. My other option is this but I don't know if it'll work on my laptop http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-zl-49-en-15-Neo+Geo-70-3dmz.html
Build one yourself. All you need is a wooden box with real arcade joystick and buttons and you're better off than any console type arcade stick. You can buy parts from many places that happcontrols.com
And then it'll be arcade quality. The AES stick really does suck from my own experience of it.. Sorry guys. :crying:
See I already have 2 awesome arcades sticks, what I want is an authentic Neo Geo Experence without selling my soul for one and every AES/MVS cart ever.
So, you're not really going for the authentic Neo Geo experience, then? You can certainly get the authentic Neo Experience with Happ parts though. Look to any big red cabinet and you'll find their stuff in them.
I don't get it. What is so authentic about using the AES Controllers? I could understand for something like NES, SNES, Genesis, wanting to have the right controller feel and layout. But NeoGeo games were meant to be played with a Joystick and push buttons. There's nothing special or authentic about it. Really the authentic NeoGeo experience if you are talking AES can be simulated by getting a MVS and MVS cartridges or getting an emulator, then for the final part of the simulation light all your money on fire or flush it down the toilet. Congrats now you are broke and playing NeoGeo. I suppose to be accurate you should only be able to pick as many games as you could have afforded back then. Or if you want an "authentic" NeoGeo experience youc ould fire up NeoRageX like tons of people did and play your pirated R0MZ on there.
