Hey everyone, would appreciate some help in finding the name of an RTS I played a long while back (like 8 years). I only played the demo and only briefly but I enjoyed it. It was a future set RTS with generic Marines you'd find in Starcraft or Starship troopers and the game had mechs as well. The main thing that interested me was you had cards that could be played at anytime and would do *things* I remember one that summoned up a few troops. Any help tracking this game down would be greatly appreciated.
Nice try Madhatter but that isn't it, I should have mentioned that it was sprite based, like almost but not quite the quality of Starcraft.
Could be Warhammer 40k: Chaos Gate. see here: http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/warhammer-40000-chaos-gate
It has cards, I have played most rts and never heard of this. So I'm intrigued. I am betting it is a small euro house game. http://www.heavengames.com/reviews/starchamber ?
It could exactly be that game since it was only a europe game and the original poster lives in Australia.. If that is not it, could it be Dark Reign?
It was 7th leigon. I loved that game... There's a prototype bouncing around out there for one of the consoles too... PSX i believe...
THANK YOU PROGRAMMINGACE!!! wooooooo, finally I can play this game again, glad to know someone else enjoyed it. *is happy*
lol, no problem. I loved that game back in the day... the ai is dumb as dirt, but the cards make a standard RTS interesting again.
I really have to ask now, just so I don't regret it later, what do you know of the prototype ProgrammingAce. How complete, was there anything special etc.
To be honest, i've just heard vague rumors that its "out there" i've never seen it myself. I'd love to get my paws on it someday....
