I read an article a couple years ago about how Nintendo decided to develop easier games after the GameCube era to increase the amount of game sold. The article had quotes from Nintendo execs (I think Miyamoto and Iwata were quoted as well) basically stating, 'less time spent frustrated over a non-beaten game == look for a new game to satisfy your gaming needs'. It may have been on GamaSutra or GameSpot, but I'm really unsure. Even though I read the article a couple years ago, I believe the article was even older. Obviously it was written after or near the end of the cube's life so let's say 2005-2014 (a wide range Does this ring a bell for anyone? Could you post a link if you find it?
Is it this one? http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/complete-history-of-gamecube-article.49596/#post-721815
I can not read the article you linked. It is marked as private. What are you able to see in that article that makes you believe that it is the one to which I am referring? If you are able to copy-paste its contents here, please do so. This is what I see when I click on http://www.dromble.com/2014/01/07/dolphin-tale-story-of-gamecube/
I don't know if it is the article you want, sorry. It's just that it was a long and informative article (just the HTML file of the page, minus the graphics, is nearly 500kb, so I can't really copy and paste it here), and might be the one you want. I don't know why the link has changed to a login page, but I saved the article to my hard drive, so if you want it (it's over 6MB zipped up, including images), then pm me your e-mail address. It's a good read, even if it's not what you are looking for.
I'm glad you preserved it. Just post it on a site like http://www.filedropper.com/ and share the link in this thread so others interested may read it. Thank you.
