Like it says on the tin, i am looking for a generic gameport joy/gamepad driver for as 8button (plus 5 autofire button) pc joy/gamepad (unfortunately the person that sold it to me did not have any drivers themselves, so at the mo i can't determine if the joypad/gamepad works or not)

I have already installed the gameport driver (as part of the sound card driver) already

Unfortunately there is no manufacturers markings/label on the joypad/gamepad other then 'wild things' (which i guess is not the manufacturer but a particular model of joypad, somewhat like a deskstar is a particular model of hitachi/ibm hard drive)

thanks in advance for any help

An IBM 15 Pin Gameport yes?

Haven't used one of those in decades!

Port on the soundcard - it supported 2 joysticks - with Analog X/Y axes - and 2 fire buttons.

Pretty good with Flight sims and a decent analog joystick, however I'd doubt support exists with modern OS's... also IIRC it having to be 'zeroed' for every game...

Try a Gameport to USB adaptor... you should get the same capabilities.

Also, some soundcards used the same 15pin port as a MPU-401 MIDI interface, you had to select which to use (gamepad or MIDI).
