looking for Retron 5 hack to play Roms

I donated haven't heard anything yet via twitter.

 

What is the best way to get in contact with RetroNLabo? I have been waiting weeks for this payment to come in on PayPal so I could donate and now I'm really scared I missed the boat by a day or two.. Really hope I can still get in on this.

 

What I have done:
Since am using PAL rom edited the below
;## genesis_plus_gx_region_detect; System region; auto|ntsc-u|pal|ntsc-j
genesis_plus_gx_region_detect=pal

secondly:
copied bios_CD_E.bin file and libretro, then load cue file it restart but when i select play it plays my sega cartridge instead.

Any advice?

 

Did you edit your cue sheet like this?:

ex: FILE "../../../../external_sd/Retron/Roms/Genesis/SonicCD.bin" BINARY

Everything from the the word FILE to Genesis/ needs to be exactly like that.

 

I dont understand a screenshoot of your config will really help out, for the rom I downloaded and extracted the zip file. I copied the .iso and cue file into rom/genesis/ folder.

Does the rom have to be in BIN instead? I will appreciate it if you put me through thanks.

 

basically what he means is edit the rom, and at the top of the file put in the location of the rom... FILE "../../../../external_sd/Retron/Roms/Genesis/SonicCD.bin" BINARY change that to whatever location your rom is in,


however, I have done this, and still have no joy... ALL I get is unknown game, then its a black screen.

 

Have given up on this, did a factory restore. When a guide clear guide is available will, will install custom app.

 

Oh curse it, I missed the boat on all of this business huh.

really disappointed.... that no one has posted here in a long while, I know only a select handful has access to the custom app, but it would be good, if people made detail instructions/videos. on getting certain emulators to work... have followed everything said, to get SEGA CD to work, but no go.. just a black screen, and unknown game, doesn't work, and still have not got it to work.. I was kind enough to alert the community of, retronlabos offer, to access the hack.... but we all know retronlabo, english is hard to follow sometimes.. so it would be good, if someone has emulators to work, to share how they got it to work... now I said before.... the added emulators are a bonus for me, still dont really care about them. just an added cool feature, but I would at least want to know how they work...

I was hoping when a bunch of new people got access, they would be guides available to help people to get certain things to work, like PS 1 EMULATORS etc... still very happy with the custom app, but would really like to know how to get other emulators to work.

 

Well Like I said I already play roms from SD card without the hack was interested in playing PSX,SEGA CD etc but since there are no clear instructions or steps to get us started in the right path everything is confusing worst case I keep getting black screen.

We all know Retronlabo can speak or type in English correctly so why not make a youtube video on how he select the emulators and play the roms ?, if he can make videos of other games running on retron 5 using is custom app why not make a guide video???? I suggested this to him I got no response so I gave up.

im happy with my retron 5..i still only half believe it dumps rom from the cart..my copy of castlevaina nes will freeze if u push the a button on an orginal nes and will do the same thing in my retron 5..if it was dumpin the rom then why does it freeze as well on my retron 5...
