The beta that was tested at SNK usa before their demise. It's the english version. I was wondering if anyone had some leads for it.
Only thing I have heard about is it got scrapped. Though there is a site that is translating the NeoGeo rom and SNes rom of it but I cant rember the site for the life of me and when I did check it out it jumped like 2% in 2 years of time so I think they probally stopped working on it. Though I am also looking for that game and have been since I heard about it so if I find anyhting I will let ya know. I've had good luck contacting SNK-Playmore. While not a direct line to the beta asking them some questions could net you some leads.
Only problem is the USA version of SSRPG was never released. It got scrapped. Only the Japanese SNES, NeoGeo, PSX and Sega Saturn versions where released officialy, though rumor has it that the USA released was complete but never "Officialy" released to the public..but I dont know how true that is. Though I am still looking.
There's never a Snes version. Ive never heard anything otherwise than the Japanese Neo CD, Saturn & PSX versions, IMO i doubt domestication went further than SNK prompting the thought and just thinking nahh fuck it. The development of the game was rushed in the end, the Saturn, PSX & Neo CD versions were meant to be different stories set in the same worth, but with a universal conclusion for all three, in the end all ogf them were chucked out as the same.
I heard there was a SNES version that was suppose to be released though it was a blurb in a mag article so I may be wrong. Though agree the likely hood of a SNES port is rare considering the hardware limitations.
