Hello. I bought an HD 6950 about a year ago and its a good card and all but the stock Fan and heatsink is total garbage. I have been looking for a thin VGA coolder but have not been able to find one since they all take up to 2 expansion slots (plus the one the GPU takes). I found one called the Scythe Musashi only to find I am a year too late and that they no longer produce it or sell it anyware. http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/vga/002/images/scvms1000-side1_400.jpg Anyone knows of one similar to that one that compatible with AMD cards? Thank you.
you could try mounting fans ontop of the GPU board facing down if you have limited space, with individual ram heatsinks and a gpu one, i dont know of any other single slot gpu coolers for current gen graphics cards.
i used to have one of theses on my 6950 http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vga/554/accelero-xtreme-iii.html?c=2182 used to work lovely always quiet and droped the temps by about 30%
Yeah, I think I will go for the 2 fan version of that one... Gotta wait till my wallet is a little fatter though.
