Does anyone have any technical information on how the WB64 specifically functions?

Sorry if this is a pointless question or if it exists on the forum, haven't seen it anywhere.

Not much more I can put into this topic, so I'm leaving it at this.

Thanks for reading, I'd appreciate any info,

Wideboy-CGB or AGB fully contain all the parts found on a regular GBC or GBA. Much like the GB Player. so it's a real GameBoy, no emulation at all.

All button and video related signals are all link to an Xilinx FPGA.

Those signal pass through a 40pin header too. so you can plug in a special dummy GB system to controlling and view on a real GB screen.

The firmware is contained on a flash chip. The firmware is what query the FPGA to get the video and translate button.

The audio is directly feed into the the analog audio circuit of the N64 via the two audio pin of the cartridge connector.

The card is powered from the 12v line of the N64 and converted using regulator to either 5v or 3.3v.

    That's about it.

I'd like to know if the Wide Boy 64 AGB outputs in 240p. This would be the main reason I would look for one, unless someone has a way to output a 240p signal from a GBA to a TV. The TV de Advance and Game Boy Player are all 480i unfortunately. Thanks for any info on this!

I don't know anything about the device, but why do you need it to be 240p?

It's so it can have that arcade-like look with scanlines on a CRT. Plus, it's progressive and not interlaced.

    Output is 240p.

Btw, portable system use LCD screen so their is no scanlines, I don't really see the point to want them.

Output look better to me through a line doubler.

Anyway each is own preference I guess..
