Wow, it's mostly Nintendo stuff, what a surprise
It seems it's always the more sad and lonely Nintendo fans who are baking Mario cakes, designing Link/princess peach outfits and rehearsing 25 year old Mario tunes on the piano...it's an -ahem- particular breed of people.

BTW I'm still waiting for the daily 'Ocarina of Time is the BEST GAME EVAR!!!111' cry, someone post that please.

YOu know what I never understood is how people can say the music in Mario games is great and buy endles CDs of the stuff. It's just not.

The Sonic cosplayers scare me more, to be honest. If only because of the suggested presence of "furry".

EDIT: I don't see what the OP's link has to do with cakes, cosplay or piano.

Because whenever you see an article/bit of: someone playing game music, doing some kind of arts/craft project or something else game-related it's almost guaranteed it has something to with either Mario, Zelda, or NES (pad, zapper, konami-code jape) these days.

It seems like there never was anything else besides the 'Nintendo generation'.
Why? Because 99% of all Atari, Lynx, Jaguar, Amiga, SEGA, Master System, Mega Drive/Genesis and Sonic(*) fans have moved on, got a wife/husband and kids and no longer reside in a bedroom filled with Mario dolls, Zelda posters and NES collections or partaking in the events seen in my first post..or X-raying their consoles for that matter.
(*most of the Sonic fans these days are from a new generation, not the '91 generation).

Even while there's plenty of people here with huge collections, MANY of them (including myself) figured there IS more to life than collecting games and action figures of game characters. It's mostly the Nintendo fans that have a hard time letting go of their childhood, or so it seems.

Oh and let me add that I don't think there's anything wrong with that (well, maybe :p) but it's just something that I noticed over the last 2-5 years.

Good night and good mental health!

More people played Mario than Sonic when they were kids. More American college students, at any rate, and that's who we're talking about here.

Just because Sega failed doesn't mean you should hate on Nintendo. If Sega had any worth-while IP, I'm sure people would be making pictures of those. As it is, you really only have a mutated vermin.
No need to start a flame war in a harmless post.

People who are still into Sega are an *ahem* particular group of people.

And ocarina of time sucked. Wind Waker was the BEST GAME EVAR!!!111

I think what Segafreak_NL is trying to say is that there are more sad sods out there who are in to old Nintendo than anything else. It does seem true OR it could be the typical case of no imagination so people just follow the flow, if you know what I mean.

Still, nothing is worse than the f*ng kids who play war based shit all the time on the 360. Those kids annoy the hell out of me. One of them said my games collection was "Weak" and "Gay". The last time I checked, Cave shooters and games such as Alan Wake, Fall Out III and Bio Hazard 5 were all gamers games. Not some Call of Duty bollocks.

By the way, Call of Duty is a good game but like counterstrike, the community is full of pre-pubescent kids.

Anyway, back on topic. Even though x-raying stuff is a bit lame it's also quite cool to see the effect. I wouldn't mind a few high resolution shots.

Obviously you haven't got a clue about SEGA's past IP's.
