I have game enhancer but its crap, i still need to swap disks.
I want to quickly have access, like by dropping the burned disk in and play.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a modchip that dont need to be soldered on the board? Thanks.

    OR

If you have a ps1 thats modded already that you would be willing to sell id happily buy it. Just name a reasonable price.

Just buy a PIC 12F508A and program it with MM3 code found on eurasia's download section.

You can build your own programmer really cheap if you have a serial port on your PC.

You'll be able to program as much chips as you want. Programmer is good for probably all PIC 12F devices. That means you could program a YAOSM for Wii or any other mods that use 8 pins 12F devices.

    Hello from Maine, USA.

Making PSX modchips seems interesting to me :)

    Is this programmer OK ?

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sac...r+Programmer+K150+ICSP+w+Cable&rt=nc&LH_BIN=1

I'm not an EE but I have a minor understanding of all this. Apparently I'd buy the programmer and also buy some PIC 12F683 microchips :

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...0.TRC0.XPIC+12F683+&_nkw=PIC+12F683+&_sacat=0

An 8-pin dip socket would be handy if I want to test each modchip I create :

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...pin+dip+socket&_nkw=8+pin+dip+socket&_sacat=0

And then it would be simple - like burning a CD only I'd be burning PIC 12 chips ?

LOL, it's 2013 and I'm conspiring to make PSX modchips. Is that 1996 calling ?

    Cheers, Craig

you can also change the powersupply of a console if you want to play foreign games, just look for japanese 5500 or american 5500 consoles and put your pal powersupply in

I tried a modchip for Playstation a while back, problem is Sony made so many revisions of the board that the chip you need and how to wire it up varies a lot, and also liable to break your console if it isn't right.

There is like 6 revisions, all clearly labelled on the board. Getting the correct install picture is as easy as reading the motherboard version.

In pal land, you need like 1 chip for all phat consoles and 1 chip for the PSone slim.

It's certainly anything but difficult to figure out
